You only need to be 18 to take this course to get your Utah CFP. This basic four-hour class satisfies Utah requirements to apply for your Utah Concealed Firearm (CFP Permit). Utah does not require you to visit the range for certification, if you want a class that offers range time, check out our Live-fire course, more expensive but worth every penny.
Fingerprinting and photos can be done in class before you leave: I will have a trained, fingerprint/photo technician taker at the class to take your photos and fingerprints for a fee of 15.00 each. BCI will charge you a fee of 53.25 for a five-year license, IF you want them to do your background check and their fee to issue you a permit, has nothing to do with my charges. We will provide CCW applications, and can do your fingerprinting and photos, all here on same day and have your packet ready to submit to BCI for approval
Retired Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy/UPD Officer Phil Snyder here. I will be your Utah CFP Instructor for this class. I bring 30 years of Utah law enforcement training and experience to share with you in the classroom. You can have serious legal consequences with bad instruction, as I have seen as a Utah law enforcement officer personally where this CFP student was charged with aggravated assault and lost his rights to own a gun for life, due to poor concealed carry training. I don’t want that to happen to you and your family!
