How often should I clean my pistol? Do you own a handgun and are wondering how to clean and maintain it properly? How often should your pistol be cleaned?  You are not alone and as a Utah Concealed firearms instructor, I am frequently asked this question.  The best answer is that your pistol should be cleaned every time after you shoot it for the most optional reliability and life of your investment not only the cost of your pistol but also for your personal safety. A cleaned and well maintained firearm will last longer, will function more reliably and will most likely live up to the rare occasion you may need it!

Some customers call and ask if our instructors will clean and maintain their pistol. We do offer pistol cleaning as a service for your pistol but we at Concealed Carry Class of Utah prefer to show you how to safely and efficiently do that. So if you want to learn how to clean and maintain your pistol, you can register for a Basic Pistol Course and also learn how to shoot your handgun well and learn essential safe storage of your gun to keep it out of the hands of persons that should not be using them.
