I was looking for a concealed carry course that was offered during weekdays and mornings, which is pretty hard to come by these days with the constitutional carry bill (HB 60) being passed. Phil went above and beyond and taught the concealed carry course and some. We also got hands on firearm safety training and some scenarios that most classes don't offer. What was 4 hours felt like 2 with how well he teaches the course, I would highly recommend taking his courses as he answers any and all questions that you may have in regards to firearms and the course itself. He also includes fingerprinting and delivery of the form directly to BCI which was a huge plus for me.

This class was fantastic! I was fortunate to have a one on one with Phil. We started with review of Utah law. Some may find this boring but it is definitely important to know where you can carry and when you can legally draw your firearm. We then spent time with hands on training going over firearm safety and some dry fire drills. Next I took the test and we finished the course at the firing range. Phil was a great instructor, very knowledgeable, patient and focused on teaching proper etiquette so that his students know and feel comfortable with their firearm. I took the concealed carry course along with the NRA basic pistol course. Would encourage the upgrade to include the NRA basic pistol course. Will definitely recommend this course to others. If you are interested in getting your concealed carry permit this is where you want to start. Once you finish this I highly recommend signing up for one of the NRA Firearms Classes.

He Everyone, welcome to my Florida Concealed Carry Firearms Academy and Florida CCW class training page. We at Concealed Carry Class Utah are proud to announce we are now offering Concealed Carry training to residents in the Treasure Coast area this year.

A little bit of background about your Florida Concealed Carry firearms Instructor. My name is Phil Snyder, I am the Owner/Instructor at Concealed Carry Class Utah. I will be your Florida Concealed Firearms Instructor and will be providing all of your necessary training to apply for your Florida Concealed Weapon License. I am a Certified NRA pistol and Personal Protection in the home firearms Instructor, A Utah DPS certified firearms Instructor and I have been a POST certified Utah law enforcement officer for 26 years. I worked almost 18 years as a police officer and deputy sheriff as a patrol officer. I also trained new police recruits after they graduated from the police Academy to make sure they were safe working on the streets and until they were off job probation. I have worked as a court bailiff for the last approximately eight years and most recently was a Court Bailiff for the West Jordan City Justice Court, providing security for Judge Ronald Kunz and running jury trials for the court. I am now semi-retired and enjoy working continuing to work with the community in getting private citizens prepared to concealed carry. Please see my letter of recommendation in the image on the left of page by Judge Ronald Kunz.

I specialize in working with mostly new gun owners and provide a unique skill set that is geared towards including but not limited to; firearms safety, sound knowledge of Florida laws and how you will be carrying after you are licensed. Knowledge is power and when you achieve that level of training you feel very comfortable carrying a firearm with you on a consistent basis for your personal protection for you and yours. There is nothing more empowering to me than being to that level and I will help you get there through my concealed carry program, here is a breakdown of my class:

1. Private classes at your home or office by making an appointment. The classroom portion can be in the comfort of your own home. Range time and live fire done at the local gun range of your choice. Hands on Training on your personal firearm. If you do not own a gun yet, no worries, you can rent one for about $20.00

I will do an (optional) security assessment of your home and make recommendations (if any) to make your home safer and more crime resistant to criminals.

2. In depth discussion on Florida Laws, including use of force and deadly force allowed by a private citizen, laws of carry, lawful transportation and concealment. Scenario and role play training as requested or required and real life personal experiences used. There will be adequate time to answer questions to your satisfaction on any subject in the classroom.

3. Live fire range instruction with your personal firearm. You will need to buy yourself a box of 50 rounds of ammunition for the shooting portion at a local gun range of your choice and pay your lane fee. Eye and ear protection, targets will be provided by me.

4. 30 day membership to the Florida Concealed Carry Workshop: Finally after getting your required training in to apply for your Florida Concealed Weapon license, you will have up to two additional hours of concealed carry training. This training will need to be used within 30 days of your Concealed Carry Class date. A great value, most quality firearms instructors are charging upwards of 100.00 per hour or more for good instruction This training can be done at the Instructor’s discretion either by phone, Zoom meetings or in person as needed depending on the student’s personal needs. I will provide training on a number of subjects requested by you, as long as it’s related to concealed carry training. It could be used for additional range instruction, use of shoot don’t shoot scenarios and role plays, trying on new equipment, safe handling exercises, learning new skills and so on.

Lastly, I challenge all of my students upon receiving their Florida Concealed weapon license to commit to carrying for 30 days regularly! You will learn ALOT in that thirty days and that will bring you to a level of comfort carrying your firearm that you will be so glad that you did!

Private classes as described above cost $250.00 per person, or $350.00 for a couple and run about 4 hours, including the range time live fire exercise. Family and business discounts are also available, (contact me for a quote)

What Gun Classes are Available

NRA Basic Pistol Course

This pistol course is for anyone. From new gun owners to even someone with more experience just wanting to freshen up those basic skills this is an excellent class for that!

This course more than satisfies Florida’s proficiency requirement to apply for a Florida Concealed weapon license.

Bring your own handgun to class, (no ammunition allowed in the classroom portion). If you don’t own a gun, you can rent one for 25.00.

Learn the safe handling, loading and unloading of your personal firearm. Learn the necessary skills to safely and competently shoot with proficiency that Florida requires.

You will take a 50 question multiple course test and finish up the course with shooting a 20 round pistol qualification. Successful completion of this course earns you an NRA certificate, which can be used as proof of proficiency with YOUR firearm.

You will need to bring a box of 50 rounds of practice ammo and pay your lane fee at the gun range. Eye, ear protection and targets supplied.

Most of these classes are one on one private instruction, but occasionally you may participate in the classroom portion of the class with a few other students. Range time is always private one on one instruction with your instructor

Florida Concealed Carry Classes:

Our Florida Concealed Carry Class exceeds Florida training requirements needed before you can apply for a Florida Concealed Weapons license. After successfully completing our concealed carry class, we will issue you a certificate of completion. You can use this certificate to apply for your Florida Concealed Weapons License.
You will need to bring your government issued driver license, or ID card. You will also need a set of fingerprints and a passport style photo which we can take care of after class for a fee of just 15.00 for each service.

Plan on being with us for about three hours to complete this concealed carry class, which also involves a live-fire exercise which will be done at a nearby gun range of your choice.

Utah CFP Class

We now offer the residents of Florida the ability to take the Utah Concealed Firearms permit class. Upon completion students will be fingerprinted an photographed and a license application will be submitted to the Utah BCI (Bureau of Criminal Identification) to be processed.

Utah does not require that a person is a resident of the state in order to take the class and secure a license. The State of Utah has reciprocity with 37 other states and enhances the ability to carry in more locations than just Florida.
